The UK Post Business offers a range of services through two specialist teams focused on the differing needs of the Feature and Broadcast markets. The total Production Budgets on Studio Feature projects range between £80M and £300M, therefore we are dealing with the elite end of the Feature Production Market. This assumes a highly political environment and sometimes altering opinions from those involved. More and more we are approaching projects using a ‘rolling conform’ approach, allowing a 'creative collaboration' such that changes continue to be made closer to the release date. Accepting the unpredictable nature of this work is important.

This role is responsible for working closely with the Production, Operations and Sales team, to optimise on the resources of the company and ensure that every job is scheduled with the appropriately skilled talent, in a timely manner. The scheduler must set up each resource booking so that there enough time to effectively complete all work as per the producers' notes and instruction.

Utilising their overall knowledge of the business, the scheduler is responsible for the correct allocation of kit, room and people resources as well as the resolving of any booking conflicts from a commercial aspect.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates the scheduling of all production resources including people, kit and rooms.

• Manages communication to / requests on Conform Editorial team from Production
• Monitors booking progress to ensure completion. Alerting producers to issues as and when they arise, looking to resolve in a timely manner and provide alternative arrangements.
• Enters and updates bookings in production management software and maintains accuracy for all upcoming, current, and past projects.
• Works closely with Production to ensure all project needs are met.
• Coordinates leave requests for operators and talent.
• Checks in regularly with operators and talent to maintain relationship and open dialogue for the working environment.
• Constantly communicates any changes, updates or issues with all key stakeholders
• Schedule allocation of production storage to specific projects.
• Ensure systems / processes are transparent to others so that the role is easily covered during periods of leave.

• 3+ years’ experience in a Post Production environment
• Knowledge of DI, Dailies, VFX & Broadcast pipelines are advantageous
• Familiarity working with and using scheduling software, ScheduALL preferred
• Strong project planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Capacity to manage a busy workload with high productivity
• Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
