Responsibilities

Technicolor Creative Services UK currently has a rare opportunity for a Post Production Support Engineer within our Soho offices. Technicolor London provides a diverse range of data-centric post production and finishing services to high end global feature and TV productions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In a varied, complex and challenging role, you will be an integral part of an engineering team that delivers world class service to our clients. As part of the team, your responsibilities will likely include:

 

  • Front line general support for our main post platforms: Baselight, Flame, Clipster
  • Front line support for Linux/Mac/Windows Support
  • Monitor and Projector Calibration
  • LTO Tape Robots (Scripts and Yoyotta)
  • Engage with vendors and support providers
  • Traditional Video Engineering including Video Router Configuration

 

As a valued team member, you will also be encouraged to provide input into infrastructure and pipeline improvement projects, as well as running your own engineering projects as required.

 

DETAILS

 

Flexible to work shifts and unsocial hours (evenings, nights and weekends).

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
Must be an organised and self motivated team player, prepared to share knowledge and develop the skills of others, as well as learn from the team.
Previous experience working in a high-end data-centric VFX, Post Production or entertainment environment.
Ability to logically troubleshoot and escalate through appropriate channels in order to quickly resolve issues.
Previous experience installing, maintaining and upgrading a variety of post production systems, primarily those listed above.
Confident approach to Linux, OSX, Windows, Networking, File Systems.
Able to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment, prioritise work effectively, multi-task and understand the impact on Production and Operations in the case of an equipment failure.
Able to communicate patiently with multiple challenging stakeholders using technical and non-technical language where appropriate.
